In 1994, ALEKSEI AVECHKIN graduated from the Byelorussian Academy of Ballet, class of A.Martinov, G.Semelnikova and A.Azimov.
He was engaged at the Byelorussian Bolshoi Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre as a ballet soloist (1994-1998).
Aleksei Avechkin is a member of the LNO Ballet Company since1998.
He was the finalist of the Helsinki International Ballet Competition (2001).
He was awarded the Latvian Theatre Award as the Best Dancer of the Year (1999, 2008, and 2012), Aldaris Annual Award (1999), and the Latvian Great Music Award (2002).
