Ingūna Bauer was a Latvian writer, author of more than 20 novels, teacher.

Inguna Bauer was born in Cēsis, but her family moved to Liepāja in her early childhood.

From 1967 to 1978, she studied at J. Raina 6th Secondary School in Liepāja.

In 1984, he graduated from the Faculty of Construction of the Latvian Academy of Agriculture, obtaining the specialty of engineer-builder.

Lived in Vecpiebalga since 1984.

From 1984 to 1988, she worked as a construction engineer in the collective farm "Alauksts" of the Cēsis district.

From 1989 to August 2000, she worked as a teacher of visual arts, cultural history and technical graphics at the Vecpiebalga Rural Regional Gymnasium.

In 1997, she obtained a master's degree in pedagogy at the Department of Pedagogy of the LLU Humanitarian Institute.

Starting from 1998, publications in various Latvian press editions both related to the main profession ("Latvijas Avīze", "Praktiskais Latvietis", "Baltijas Koks" etc.) and others ("Ieva", "Ievas Stāsti", "Patiesā Dzīve", "House Guest").

From August 2000 to February 2011, she worked as a teacher of construction subjects at Ērgli Vocational High School.

Since the beginning of 2011, he has been engaged only in writing.

Several of the plays written by I. Bauer for independent theaters have won recognition in competitions announced by the Guild of Dramatists.

The novel "Call me in the snow" submitted to the competition of the newspaper "Lauku Avīze" was the first of the series of novels by I. Bauer. This novel won 1st place in a competition of 55 works and was published in 2004.

Since 2016, Inguna Bauer is a member of the Writers' Union of Latvia.
