ZABEZHINSKAYA MARA ARONOVNA, 14.05.1923, Riga; during WWII - volunt. in the Vologodsk Military school; radio-operator in the Air Forces. In winter 1944 was sent to the rear of the enemy in the Austrian Alps. Stayed alive thanks to the help of a local woman, who hid her. After the war lived in Riga, was active member of Jewish society "Loek". Died 09.03.1997 in an accident. [pic]
