Polina Kovalyova was 5 years old.

She was the youngest child in the family, very welcome and desired. The girl went to kindergarten, next year she had to go to school. But Polina will never hear her first school bell.

Polina Kovalyova lived with her family in Mariupol. Several times mother Irina tried to take him out of the hell arranged by the Russian invaders, as everything living was destroyed in their path. In one of the escape attempts, the car was deliberately shot at, despite calls for help that there were "children" in the car and a white flag was hung.

The driver died at the scene, and Polina suffered a severe head injury.

The mother, however, managed to get the girl out of the shelling with difficulty, she was operated on in occupied Donetsk. However, Polina's life could not be saved. Currently, Irina and her eldest daughter are in Germany. The woman always keeps Polina's doll with her.
