William was my Great Uncle. Brother to my Gran - Jane Bennie Leggate. William was born/lived in Kirkintilloch on the outskirts of Glasgow in 1900.
Must of his relatives still stay there.His sister , my Gran moved to Strathaven where she married John Leggate. William passed away on the 21/7/21 aged 21 buried far from his family in Northgate Cemetry Bagdhad. I myself was actually born on the 21/7/71 fifty years later. We are in the process of trying to source a photo of William as a young man , we do have an image of him with his family aged about 12.
