First husband of Janis was Anna Elizabet (dz. Heinrichson) Michelsone.  Her gravestone is on Nekropole with a photo.  Gravestone of Janis would be near hers in the same old Saint Martin's Cemetery in Riga in paradaugava.

Janis B. Michelsons was born in the Livonian Governate of the Tsarist empire, now Latvia.  He died during the first independence of Latvia, likely in Riga.

He was a ship's sea captain and son of shipbuilder Simon Mikelson, born 1804 somewhere in the Tsarist empire, per his birth certificate.

Display information about Captain Janis Mikelsons is at the Naval Museum on the border of Latvia and Lithuania, an ancient Liv town.  See ancient port town of AINAŽI   SALACGRĪVAS NOVADS  Latvija

Thank you Mr. Gatis Mikelsons of Latvia for making the connection to  AINAŽI/SALACGRĪVAS NOVADS and copying the page about Captain Mikelsons (dzimis 1861) from the Biographies of Latvian Captains book and sharing the image with me.  See uploaded image on this www.Timenote.info record.
