Profession: Student at a university

Letizia Merolli was born in Chieti, Abruzzo and died in Rome; she was considered very intelligent and was very successful at university. She was the sister of Gabriella Merolli Cipriani and Augusta Merolli (author of 'Dialogo nella notte' and other writings). Letizia M.'s father was Enea Merolli (1879-1963). Her mother was Giovanna Gorgo.

Only a few months later, after her mother died of tuberculosis, Letizia Merolli also died of tuberculosis at the age of 22. She was beatified after her death.
