Vazha Evgenievich Neidze was one of the most outstanding study composers of Georgia.
His chess studies have often pretty final stalemate- or mate-positions.

"He was an outstanding Georgian composer, born in Tbilisi, profession geographic economist, doctorate in the university of that city.
His chess study activity began in 1955. Around 1999 he had composed a hundred studies, with 65 distinguished works, and among the 25 awarded, 10 with the first prize.

He was finalist of the championships of composition of the USSR between 1962 and 1987, and in the latter reached the first shared place.

For his outstanding performance in the specialty was named Master of Sport in 1987;

And FIDE, which awarded him the titles of International Master and Arbitrator for chess composition, published in his albums until 1985 fourteen of his Studies, some of them in preparation.
Neidze has written numerous articles and prologues for a number of books on Studies.

He is also the author, in collaboration with G. Nadareishvili, of the extensive review on the subject.

The chess composition in Russia and the USSR was published in the great "Enciclopedico Dictionary of Chess" (Moscow, 1990).
As a composer of Estudios Neidze has used a very varied theme, sometimes applying his own original ideas, and in other cases, trying to synthesize familiar themes to enrich the content of the work;

But although in these studies there is an effective struggle, with a game of complication on both sides, the beauty of the idea that gave rise to it always prevails."   by Mario G. Garcia
